Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is the university’s counseling center dedicated to student mental health and well-being. CAPS provides a broad range of services including:

  • Crisis counseling
  • Individual therapy
  • Medication assessment and management
  • Group therapy

Faculty Staff Help Center

The Stanford University Faculty Staff Help Center offers a variety of services for the Stanford community including counseling, workshops, discussion groups, facilitated conversations, consultation and training, and retreat facilitation. Visit the Help Center website to make an appointment.

Non-Confidential Resources

Diversity and Access Office

The Diversity and Access Office (D&A) provides university-wide oversight of Stanford University's non-discrimination policies. D&A can assist with clarifying the issues and identifying the appropriate procedures and processes for resolving discrimination concerns.

University Human Resources

If you do not feel comfortable raising a question or concern with your immediate supervisor, contact your local HR office or University Human Resources/Employee and Labor Relations to address your concern through either an informal or formal process.

Faculty Affairs

Faculty members may wish to speak with their Chair, Associate Dean, Dean or others in the school who have a role related to resolving workplace issues. Faculty Affairs, a division of the Provost's Office, has additional resources and information available.
